1. What do I get for my entry fee?
Lots and lots! A great race on an incredible course with live music, finishers medal compliments of MetroCast Cablevision, cash and the famous Maple Syrup Bottle Awards, Great giveaways from FUELBELT, complimentary post-race massage provided by Vital Kneads, Granite State Race Services timing featuring the ChampionChip Time chip, great Race Announcing by the voice of NH Running, Andy Schachat, the best volunteers and staff anywhere, Post-Race Little Caesars and Jordan's Ice Cream Feast, Post-Race Concert featuring Paul Warnick, and an accurate, spectacular, and safe race course.

2. How can I sign up for the events?
Register is being done by Lin-Mark Computer Sports. Please visit their registration page for more information.

3. How will I receive my race packet?
Race packets will not be mailed. All packets can be picked up at Alton Central School in Alton, NH between 5pm and 7pm on Friday, May 9, or on Saturday, May 10 between 6:30 and 8:30 AM. Please note that you must have your bib number and ChampionChip Timing Chip to race.

4. Where is the race site?
The race begins on Letter S Road in Alton, about .25 miles from Alton Central School/Packet Pick Up. The race is a Point to Point, with the finish line approximately 1.25 miles from the starting line. (See Maps page.)

5. Where is Alton Central School?
In Alton, NH at 41 School Street, Alton, NH 03809.

6. Can I pick my race packet up on race day?
Yes, starting at 6:30 am on Saturday, May 10.

7. Can I register on race day?
No, as the race will be full prior to race day. This event is expected to fill up quickly, so remember to register early.

8. Are there any maps of the race venue?
The course map is posted on the maps page.

9. What will the weather be like race weekend?
No guarantees on weather but the average high temperature in mid-May in Alton is 67 degrees F, the average low is 45 degrees F.

10. What sports drinks and gels are available on the course?
Gatorade Endurance, Adirondack Water, and Clif Shot Energy gels.

11. What can I do before and after the race?
Be sure to come to the Alton-New Durham Lions Club Pasta Dinner on Friday evening during packet pick up. Following the race on Saturday, stick around, chow down, and listen to the groovy tunes of Paul Warnick.

12. Is there a Pasta Dinner?
Yes, there is a pasta dinner presented by the Alton-New Durham Lions Club on Friday evening from 5-8 PM at Alton Central School. You may also pick up your race packet in the Alton Central School Gym.

13. How do I get a refund if I cannot attend?
There are no refunds, no exceptions. NO ENTRY TRANSFERS ALLOWED.

14. Do I to be present to get my award?
Out of respect for all of the award winners, you must be present to receive your award. No awards will be mailed.

15. What address should I use to mapquest Alton Central School for me?
41 School Street, Alton, NH 03809.

16. Where should I park?
Parking is available at Alton Central School, and along Letter S road. Parking is also available 1.5 miles from the starting line, across the street from the finish line.

17. Is the course a point to point?
Yes, the course is a point to point, with the finish line approximately 1.5 miles from the start line. Buses will be available to take athletes back to Alton Central School and Parking following the race, from 10:00am-1:00pm.

18. Is Busing available?
Busing is available for athletes from the finish line back to Alton Central School/Parking lot following the race. There is no bus available for those wishing to park at the finish line prior to the race. If you choose to park at the finish line, you will be required to walk/run to the start line, approximately 1.5 miles from the finish line.

19. Are there Dry Clothes Bags?
Yes. You will receive a goody bag at registration which may be used as a dry clothes bag, or you may use your own bag. To drop off your dry clothes bag prior to the race start, go to the Dry Clothes Drop Off right next to the starting line, at the intersection of Route 107 and Letter S Road. There will be Markers and tags available. Please write your name and Bib Number clearly on the tag, and place on your bag. Drop off your bag in the appropriate bin. The bags will be transported from the start line to the finish area for you to claim following your race. The Pick Up location will be in the Alton Community Center.

20. Will spectators be able to out on the course to watch the race?
Not during the majority of the race. Cars will not be allowed to drive on the course during the race.

21. What accommodations are available?
Alton and the Lakes Region offer a wide range of accommodations. To find accommodations, go to the lodging page on the website.

22. How does chip timing work?
Each athlete will wear a 'chip' that transmits data to the receiving antenna when the athlete crosses a timing mat. Granite State Race Services will utilize the ChampionChip timing chip.

23. Where do I wear the chip?
You will thread the chip through the laces of your running shoe.

24. Where and when do I pick up my timing chip?
Your timing chip will be found in your packet, which will be picked up at registration.

25. Do I need to wear the chip for the entire race?
Yes! If you do not have the chip on when you cross the finish line you are not guaranteed a finish time.

26. Can I keep my chip?
No, the chips must be turned in at the end of the race. Volunteers will be at the finish line to help with removal. Participants will be charged $35 for unreturned chips.

27. Can I use my own chip?
Yes, contact us with your chip number.

28. Can I wear headphones while racing?
No, as USA Track and Field prohibit it, as a safety issue.
